Newspaper SMS spam

When you sign up for a newspaper, you only want the paper copy to be delivered at home, but your mobile phone gets spammed.  I regularly get spam  SMSes  from a newspaper’s  Infoline  regarding a variety of subjects, and there is no option available to opt out of these spam  SMSes.

Telling the truth

Many people are economical with the truth for various reasons. But they do not realise that to cover up for one lie , you have to tell another lie, and it can often be a never ending cycle. So if you have made a mistake and not told the truth for any reason, it is better to apologise for your mistake and start again with a clean slate.

Finding clues

Initially when some unusual events occur, it is difficult to find out what is happening.  But when you these strange events occur frequently there are many clues,  and a pattern emerges.    You can then find out the individuals / companies involved,   their relationship with each other and how the information is shared between them.

Double standards

So similarly, the more powerful and influential person or company manages  to do what they want and get away with it.

So do not put anyone on a pedestal, evaluate  both their positive and negative points.

Stereotypes

One of the problems of lack of exposure and experience is that you tend to stereotype, believe  in the fake images projected by the media.   Most offline media companies have a few large advertisers and their editors consciously publish stories which reiterate this image.
